Lights didn™™t work from the start, bad wiring from factory. Required a repair. Then the halogen bulbs burned out within a day after repair. Make sure you replace bulbs with LED™™s!

Original bulb cannot be extracted from light socket. Followed instructions to remove it but impossible to do so. Hood is only one and a half years old. No longer under one year warranty. Now need to hire an electrician.

I like that the unit isn't super loud. In fact, it is really quiet. The team goes up the pipe, thru the attic and outside. I really like the auto off option so it doesn't run the whole meal.

A simple yet functional vent. A through the wall installation was simple and the dimensional information provided was accurate. The noise level is acceptable, and it looks great in our small mountain cabin along with a matching GE LP gas stove.

GE has always proven to be a great name brand product for me. I like the style of this hood, it fit like a glove. I like the features and on low speed you can barely hear the fan running. The system looks way better than advertised; I love it!

We took down our microwave and replaced it with a counter one so we could have a fully functioning fan. We could not have it vented, it is a recycling air. Wow what a difference to have that space and the fan is so much more powerful than those that come with the microwave. Love it.

Living in San Francisco, you come across old apartment buildings. Our kitchen didn't come with a vent hood and this was my favorite purchase that we made for our apartment. I highly recommend this range hood in particular. It installed quickly and easily with no problems in under 1 hour. Even ductless, this hood helps remove the grease and smell of cooking, even bacon! Especially for a first purchase of an appliance as a renter, this is the way to go.

Do NOT buy this GE Under the Cabinet Hood (GE-JVX5300DJWW). Changing the "GU10" lightbulb is a HUGE PAIN in the derrière!!! I've been through this twice now, and I do not want others to have the same frustrating experience. This time I spent 4 hours trying to get a replacement "GU10" lightbulb to work. I give up! Now I must call the electrician, who installed the the range hood, to put in a lightbulb. That will cost me at least $100!!! I curse the engineer, who designed this GE range hood, and I curse GE for manufacturing it.

Good thing that LED bulbs have a long life. Lighting has 2 setting choices and the fan has 4 setting choices. Love the quiet operation.
